A partnership between the Town of Smithfield, Johnston County and the Johnston County
Building Industry Association is helping relieve downtown parking, available immediately for
citizens and visitors, by making better use of available and existing resources in Downtown
Smithfield.
Downtown Smithfield continues to see strong momentum, with more than $3.19 million in public and private investment and 35 new jobs created during FY 2025–26. These results reflect the continued commitment of our businesses, property owners, community partners, and volunteers to a thriving downtown.
We’re taking the conversation to the sidewalk!
