Join us on Thursday, December 7 for holiday fun and to help the Mayor and Santa light the Town's Christmas Tree!

Hosted by the Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation and the Smithfield Parks & Recreation Department, the Smithfield Christmas Tree Lighting, always held on the first Thursday in December, is when our Town lights up for the holidays!  The event starts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7 in the 100 block of S. Third Street with activities provided by local organizations and the Candy Cane Lane Dessert Food Truck Rodeo.  At 7:00 p.m., help the Mayor and Santa Claus count down as they flip the switch to light the Town's Christmas Tree at the corner of Third and Market streets.  The event will also feature performances from local choruses, bands, and dance groups, and more fun activities!  Several downtown businesses will offer extended hours for the Tree Lighting as well!  There's something for the entire family to get in the holiday spirit!
