The Smithfield River Rat Regatta on the Neuse is back on Sunday, August 13!  This boat race is like none you've seen before as 2-person teams in boats built entirely from cardboard, duct tape, and glue will race down the Neuse River!  The race will start at 5:00 p.m., with a DJ from 4-7pm and a band from 7-9pm.

Join us on Saturday, August 13 for the 3rd Annual Smithfield River Rat Regatta on the Neuse!  At 5:00 p.m., the race is on, and 2-person teams in boats built entirely from cardboard, duct tape, and glue will race from the boat ramp to Town Commons.  Awards will be given for Fastest (1st-2nd place) in the Youth (under 13) and (1st-3rd place) in the Adult divisions, Overall Best Decorated, and Overall Titanic Award (Most Memorable Sinking), then enjoy the live band from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Little Brown Jug!  For more information, including the rules and entry form, please click here.  The number of entries is limited, so register now!
