The Johnston County Museum, operated by the Johnston County Heritage Center, tells some of the many stories from Johnston County's interesting past. 
Established in 1746, Johnston County boasts an interesting history, including as the setting for some events of statewide and national significance.  The Heritage Center works to tell the stories of Johnston County and its citizens over the course of the past 250 plus years.  Visitors to the Museum can learn about local history in fascinating exhibits.
