The Johnston County Heritage Center is a museum and library dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Johnston County, NC, and to making it accessible to the public.
Established in 1746, Johnston County boasts an interesting history, including as the setting for some events of statewide and national significance.  The Heritage Center works to tell the stories of Johnston County and its citizens over the course of the past 250 plus years.  Visitors to the Heritage Center can learn about local history in fascinating exhibits and research their own family genealogy in the Reading Room.
